## University Policies & Rules for Commencement

Commencement and related ceremonies are governed by the [University-Wide Statement on Rights and Responsibilities](https://provost.harvard.edu/university-wide-statement-rights-and-responsibilities), along with other applicable University and School policies. Students remain subject to University and School-based rules, policies, and procedures, until the time their degree is officially conferred, which is 11:59 p.m. on the day of Commencement for students who remain in good standing and eligible to graduate. Please also consult your School’s individual guidelines and expectations for local Commencement ceremonies and activities.
